## Why tile and marble installation

- **Made for water.** Tile and stone are the classic choice for bathrooms, kitchens and entries.
- **Built to last.** A well-set tile floor on a sound slab lasts for decades.
- **Easy to clean.** A damp mop is all glazed tile needs; sealed marble needs gentle cleaners.

## How it works

1. **Tell us about the job.** Send your rooms and the floor you like, or call us.
2. **We measure and check.** Every room measured, the slab or subfloor checked.
3. **You get it in writing.** Material, prep, labor, trims and delivery on one estimate.
4. **We confirm and install.** Stock confirmed first, then your installation date is booked.

## Questions

### Ceramic or porcelain: which should I choose?

Porcelain is denser and absorbs less water, so it suits heavy traffic and wet areas. Ceramic is lighter and easier to cut, and works well on walls and in lighter-use rooms.

### Do you install marble?

Yes. Marble needs a flat, rigid base and sealing, and we price the preparation it needs in the written estimate.

### Can large-format tile go on my slab?

Large tiles need a very flat slab. We check flatness first and include any levelling in the estimate.

### How long before I can walk on new tile?

Usually within a day, once the setting material and grout have cured. We will tell you the timing for your job.

### How do I get a price?

Request an estimate online or call us. We measure, check the slab and send a written, itemised estimate.

## Guides

- [A guide to tile and marble floors](https://scflooringmasters.com/answers/tile-and-marble-guide.md): Tile and marble are among the most durable floors you can choose. The finished result depends on picking the right tile and preparing the slab properly.
- [Porcelain vs ceramic tile: which should you choose?](https://scflooringmasters.com/answers/porcelain-vs-ceramic-tile.md): Choose porcelain for busy floors, wet areas and anything outdoors, because it is denser and absorbs almost no water. Choose ceramic for walls, backsplashes and indoor rooms with light foot traffic.
