Common questions

What is a subfloor?

The base your floor sits on. In most Florida homes it is the concrete slab; upstairs and in raised floors it is usually plywood.

How do I know my subfloor needs repair?

Soft or springy spots, planks that separate or click, cracked or hollow tiles, and visible dips or ridges are the usual signs.

Can you level a concrete slab?

Yes. High spots are ground down and low spots filled with a levelling compound, so the floor meets the manufacturer's flatness requirement.

Do you replace damaged plywood subfloor?

Yes. Soft, delaminated or water-damaged plywood is cut out and replaced before the new floor goes down.

How do I get a price?

Send photos with an estimate request or call us. We check the subfloor and send a written estimate.
