Common questions
Glue-down or nail-down: which do I need?
It depends on what is underneath. Most Florida homes have concrete slabs, where hardwood is glued down. Wood subfloors, common upstairs, suit nail-down installation.
Is hardwood a good idea in Florida?
Yes, in the right rooms and with moisture checked first. Engineered hardwood is more stable than solid wood in humid climates and on slabs.
Can hardwood go in a kitchen or bathroom?
Kitchens can work with care; bathrooms are better served by tile or waterproof vinyl plank.
How long should the wood acclimate?
It depends on the product; the manufacturer sets the requirement, and we follow it.
